We have one major research project ongoing in the wetland right now, and an undergraduate is conducting a census of the birds, in conjunction with her study in Heritage Creek.

Effect of pollutants on wetland plants.  A graduate student is just starting her project on the fate of different pollutants in three species of wetland plant found in the Dominguez Hills Nature Preserve: Scirpus sp (Tule), Typha sp (Cattail), and Eleocaris sp (Spikerush).
