I have seen 680 species in the
ABA "Classic" area (out of 1007), of which 641 have been photographed.
I have seen 237 species and named subspecies of butterflies in the US and Canada (and photographed all but two of those). The North American Butterfly Assn (NABA) recognizes 837, so I still have a way to go.
I have seen 66 species of Odonates (22 damsels and 44 dragonflies) in the US and Canada (all photographed). The Dragonfly Society of the Americas recognizes 465, so I have a really long way to go.
